A ridiculous amount of stuff

...that's what happened since the last time I posted on here...
Last Friday, I went out dancing with TKJ, Australia, Rainbow, and a friend from the coop. Ice Cream and Ithaca were going to come but they took a toke from Kusa when he smoked and Ithaca got super high and probably wouldn't be able to ride her bike so she stayed and Ice Cream told us they would meet us there later (pshh yea right).
We got the show (it was a hip hop/dubstep/dancehall show) and just danced until the place closed. TKJ got wasted and couldn't bike home so Rainbow and Australia walked him home, apparently that was a funny story. I got home to find Ice Cream and Ithaca sleeping on the bed, I slipped in and went to bed after a quick conversation about the night.
I woke up with Ice Cream already gone, she left us a note and we go up and got ready, eating a bit and searching the house for Ithaca's bike lock key. When all was in order we headed to the coop and hit up a store for food that couldn't be sold. By the time we finished Ice Cream had arrived at the coop and we were ready to go to her house pick up some last minute stuffs and then roll out. Some of the coopers were doing a fundraiser party so we helped them carry some things up the stairs, before we finished a bunch of kids arrived with Katimavik, ready to do food not bombs. No one else was around for food not bombs so we called TKJ and stayed with them until TKJ, Australia and Rainbow arrived. After that we fixed up a bikes a tiny bit and grabbed some water at Ice Creams and rode out.
We headed south until we hit the bridge and we crossed that, the weather was great and riding across the bridge gave us a nice view of the city (and some trains). We got to the island where la Ronde is and we climbed a bit of scaffolding until security told us to get down. Afterward we threw our bike over a few fences and rode for an hour or two then decided to set up camp when we hit the end of the road/a big fence.
We rode back a bit to find a nice spot and then locked up bikes. I started a small fire in my hobo stove and Ice Cream and Ithaca set up the tent when it started to get dark since we were camping on private property. The hobo stove was pretty shitty in terms of getting really hot with the wood I was putting in it since it didn't really turn to coal just ash, but we managed to cook some potatoes and eggplant that we dumpstered earlier. Ithaca and Ice Cream also brought some food so we ate dinner and just as we finished it began to drizzle. We got into the tent and rolled out the sleeping bags. It was a really tight fit, three people in a two person tent but we managed. I read aloud a bit, we played some talking games and hit the hay super early (probably around 8 or 9)...
Woke up and biked back to Ice Cream's after a small fruit breakfast. Once there we cooked up everything we didn't eat and had a nice brunch. I was tired from all the biking at that point so I rolled back to the coop a bit and started to head home afterward, but I decided to pass in from of TKJ's place for fun. Of course I ended up stopping in when I saw a bunch of bikes locked out front. Turns out Australia, TKJ, Rainbow were there along with a guy from the coop. They had dumpstered pasta and made tomato sauce and jam but it wouldn't be ready for a while. I was tired as shit but I hadn't had pasta in a really long time so I stuck around. We went to tam tams and I napped there on my sleeping bag and then we went back and ate the pasta and all that. I hung at TKJ's place until about 9 napping on and off. I left after that because I had to attend Pagoda's birthday.
I went home, checked the address and rode out on my bike. She was celebrating at Casa del Popolo which is a chill cafe/bar/venue where cool girls throw their birthday parties. Spent time talking to random people and just hanging out and eating delicious cake (you see Pagoda works at a bakery so she gets a free awesome birthday cake on her birthday, FO FREE!). People started leaving and I got to hang out with Pagoda one on one a bit which was nice. Later she recognized a guy she saw on the bus once back home and we went and talked to him and his crew, turns out they were a punk band that had just played at the venue next door. I talked to one of the guys about ABC No Rio and New York in general because he had played a show there a while ago. Was an interesting evening, nothing too crazy, but I was tired from the long weekend anyways. At the end of the night I kissed Pagoda good night, said peace to the punk band and got to take the rest of the cake home.
Monday morning; cake for breakfast, best breakfast ever. Went to my last class this semester and then headed off to the People's Potato. Ithaca was there along with Rainbow and Australia. We ate and headed to TKJ's place. Me and Rainbow stopped at the sporting goods place to receipt scam the bike lock she bought from there last week. It went down pretty smoothly. At TKJ place we sewed stuff up and ate dumpstered food. I don't remember the rest of the day, cept hanging out in a playground a bit. At night though we hung at the coop and on the way there we dumpstered and I finally glued up the new lock on the compactor (it's still there by the way, they haven't done anything about it...).
Not too sure what happened during the week nothing spectacular or particularly memorable, just hanging with Ithaca at the coop (apparently people have been complaining that we we're loud when we have sex, that we leave the door open and that we have sex in the shower too much, none of which is true, but I'll explain that later). Kunoichi got hurt a while ago but she's doing alright, I've been dropping food off on and off for the last few days which results in cool food being made by either me or Kunoichi and her roomies. Sleeping at her place and the coop.
On Friday I went swimming with Ice Cream and Ithaca. Ice Cream practiced her lifeguarding stuff on us and we played around in the pool. After hanging in our sex's saunas we met up upstairs and headed to the coop. The bike ride back to the coop resulted in us arriving soaked in rain. The only solution of course was to strip down and shower up, which we did. Ice Cream Left the shower before Ithaca and I did and didn't lock the door, the door mind you can only be locked from the inside and can't really close unless it's locked. A cooper stuck her head in and saw me and Ithaca showering (and doing just that and not much else) and complained about it later (hence my above comment about sex complaints, none of which are true). We were gonna stay in and sleep but instead a girl from the coop convinced us to go dancing. The first club we went to had a really Euro feel but we didn't like the music so we went to another place and danced until it closed then went back to the coop. We were pretty tired and ready to head to bed when a few (three) coopers came back from what I can only assume was a crazy night (involving a metal show and a strip club and some drugs). At first we weren't sure what they did but they told us a bit. They had come in with a friend, apparently he had brought some crack and was going to take it upstairs, when another cooper found out he headed up. We were all chilling on the couches downstairs and didn't really think twice about it, except discussing that crack was a shitty drug and it would fuck you up and all that. A bit later the guy comes back downstairs with a 40 in one hand and a hammer in another, he said "the guy upstairs" scared him. He was super paranoid and kept asking us where the front door was even after we told him. He got more and more antsy and started to open bedroom doors to find a way out and freaked out a sleeping cooper. The cooper who went upstairs when he found out about the crack came down and took charge, he told us all to get to one side of the room and for the crack guy to leave, he eventually did but not before we had a few scares with the hammer. Crack sucks...
Next day hung out with Ithaca a lot and we went to a show at Katacombs in the night. Ice Cream was supposed to meet us but never showed. The show had the Chaotic Insurrection Ensemble (an anarchist marching band), Micro Armee (a French hip hop group with b-boys, rappers, singers and beatboxers) and a samba collective whose name I forgot. We didn't stay 'til the end because we got tired, we went home cooked up some stir fry and then hit the sack. The next day we dumpstered a ton on breakfast and lunch and made lots of foods. After breakfast we watched two movies about sex and sex culture. Stayed home a bit then headed over to Kunoichi's for ice cream and pie, ended up sleeping over, Guts was there and he slept over as well.
Next day, lots of cooking and hanging out. Australia called and they were all at TKJ's house, I went over to hang since she's leaving on a bike trip, and we went to play tag and grounders at a playground across the street, good times but I realized I'm not as stealthy and fast as I used to be...
Exam tomorrow off to pretend that I'm studying.

Return to Jimbo's and three boots

Last night me and TKJ went back to the same roof to sleep, we dumpstered everywhere and found nothing, we tabled dived a tiny bit of French fries and went up to the roof. We found some storage shack full chairs, we took four and brought them near our sleep spot. We also discovered that there are about 12 electrical outlets out on the roof right next to the chairs and the sleep spot so the next time we sleep up there we'll probably bring the portable DVD player we found in Australia's building's trash. We walked around a bit, ate some chips we had stashed from last time and then went to sleep.
The next day we hit the people's potato and ate some lunch. I helped TKJ pick up some friends from outta town then went home to rest before Frozen Monkeys. We met up at McGill and trained there a bit, it was Thief, his friend Bum, and this guy with a parkour/ninjutsu sweatshirt who we'll call Red. After a bit Kusa met up with us and we all trained various things. We found a huge thick pole and we swinging around it trying to go full circle and landing on a ledge when I bailed hardcore in the sand falling backwards, I saved my head with a back roll but my legs still took a bit more impact than I would have liked. After a bit we got kicked out by security, we moved to Square Victoria on Red's recommendation which turned out to be an awesome area. We got kicked outta two more places but overall it's a great place to train, lots of variety and challenge for every level there. Just got in, TKJ and his pals might dumpster and sleep out tonight and I have to attend a house party so I'll see how the weekend unfolds.

Tired legs at the end of a long day...

Longest day ever...
I actually woke up early despite knowing that I wouldn't go to class, no idea why, but of course I couldn't fall back into a nice dream, I ended up watching lost then making food etc, normal morning stuff. At around 11.30ish me and Kusa headed out on bikes to take part in this unusual event with Uberculture; we were reclaiming space in one of the buildings in the downtown campus. We all met up ahead of time and were briefed while we waited for a few people to show up.
A few weeks earlier I had received an email asking for artists to take part in something from an email address that I didn't recognize, I answered that I was a traceur if that was among the kind of artists they were looking for, after the reply I followed the instructions provided to me and ended up at the briefing. The idea behind the event was to reclaim the space in the building and show up the ridiculous security policy, everyone but me and Kusa brought instruments. We all splintered off into groups and enter the building from a variety of entrances and each person set about playing music where they say fit, once everyone was settled in me and Kusa found a nice spot and started training then moved around a bit until one of the coordinators told us the something happened related to security cameras and we had to stop, the rest was boring, just standing around while a few peeps played music.
Afterward Kusa and I headed to McGill for a protest but ended up being early, we went in and did some quick parkour then left to the protest, which frankly was boring and I won't really cover.
Thinking I could go relax a bit we went home a bit and just chilled for a bit before my phone rang. It was for a craigslist trade, a food swap. I put on something with longer sleeves and went out to trade. I gave some dumpsters fruits and veggies with a bit of bread in exchange for some rice, mashed potatoes and some pork and beans, not bad for a bunch of stuff I got for free.
I got home, watched the Fresh Prince a bit and planned on going on a bike run nearby then going to sleep. I start putting on my dumpstering clothes and just as I'm about to step out, I get a text from V, he wants me to be at the student bar tonight...
After some convincing I'm there in a t-shirt waiting in line, of course this opens the peeps next to me to start a conversation about how I should be cold and how I'm crazy for coming on a bike, hiding my coat on a roof and generally being a strange type of hardass. Turned out to be a pretty awesome night aside from being molest by this insane girl me and Kusa know; I met a cute girl who I was happy to see found me on facebook, I ran into a jillion friends, I danced all night but somehow didn't get covered in sweat and I ate pizza with two girls I had met the previous Thursday at their friends place before going home.
Needless to say my legs were tired from the day and I couldn't stay up long enough to write this in it's entirety (I finished it this morning).

Chips, canes and Kusa's Cutie

Tonight I was at the student bar, but I wasn't having a good time since none of my friends were really dancing and Kusa was trying to hit on a girl I remember dancing with at a club who probably liked me. When Ting came with his friend and then got kicked out by the bouncer I decided to leave and dumpster when I get home instead of being bored. I got home changed into my sketchy dumpster clothes and headed out on the bike I brought home:
15 Bags of Chips, Nuts, Pretzels etc.
23 Boxes of Candy Canes (That's after stopping to drop maybe 10ish off at Kunoichi's and then heading back to get the rest).
1 Container of Wild Rice Salad.
Turns out it was a good idea to have gotten all the food because when I walked in the living room was full of people from the student bar who came home with Ting and Kusa, I tossed over two bags of chips and a box of candy canes, put everything away and chilled with them all until around 5.30 in the morning. Turns out things when well for Kusa with the girl even though he didn't seem to be making progress the whole night *shrug* so all's well that ends well. Time to sleep...

Dear Dumpster Gods You Are Fucking Amazing

Tonight was awesome. I got home from hanging out with Kunoichi and her roomies and was settling down to watch a nice kung fu flick when I thought I'd enjoy it more with a bag of chips (you know, for health reasons). I didn't want to eat the last bag of pretzels since I know Kusa loves them, so I went out into the ridiculously cold night and pedaled through some snow, totally worth it since I came back with:
2 Boxes of K4shi Cerial
5 Bags of Various Snacks (including chips, pretzels and cracker jacks)
2 Bags of Salted Cashews
1 Small Bag of Peanuts
1 Fruitcake
2 Cartons of some Soy Beverage that looks healthy and expensive (I'll check it out later).
Funny how I got just what I wanted and then some, especially the nuts, I just ran outta meat so the protein just replenishes itself, it's like the dumpsters and the fridge are teaming up to keep me happy.

On another note, I'm really getting into punk music and the culture that goes with it. I want to go to some punk shows, meet some anarcho-punks and that kinda thing, aparently I'd like it a lot according to a few friends. (I hear they're down with diving, travel, and a bunch of other things along those lines).

Crates, Deflates and More Food Pics

Today after class I was going to ride my bike home only to discover a huge hole in my front tire, (it's no surprise, it's been looking pretty hairy for a while) so I had to walk it home in the rain, but that's not too bad, I'll get it fixed tomorrow at the bike place I guess, Kusa says it should be relatively cheap.
Also related to my bike is the crate on the back, the one I have it falling apart. It's a nice big crate the plastic is breaking in a lot of places. I went to a supermarket with a compactor (read evil waste machine) waited til the area was deserted and *didn't* hop the fence grab a crate that looked sturdy and leave. So as soon as that tire gets fixed I'll be set.
I got some more food pics from stuff I found:

Bread, Apple, Broccoli, Carrots...

Operation: Frozen Shut

Tonight me and Kusa we supposed to go to Igloofest (look it up) with a few friends, but they changed their minds, after a while Kusa convinced me that we should still go, but when his friend bailed as well we thought hey, lets try to sneak in and if we don't get in we didn't lose anything but effort.
Gear-:
Me-
Black Pleather Jacket
Dark Blue BDU Pants w/ Bumflap
Grey Beanie
Black Neckwarmer
Black Leather Gloves
Brown Boots
Kusa-
Blue Coat
Dark Blue Jeans
Brown Boots
Tan Hobo Mittens
We rode out on our bike and locked up out front of the main entrance and began a quick recon. Our plan was to get in and then vanish into the crowd, so we didn't bring specific gear or anything uniquely NO related. We walked the whole east side until we hit a fence blocking our path, we then went to check out the west side but they had security and a fence that was the barrier between us and the interior of Igloofest. After our quick recon walk we learned the following:
*Security guards were everywhere, but easily identifiable by their bright orange vests.
*All the fences were either spiked or flimsy and spiked so speedy crossing was impossible, we had to find a spot that was out of site.
*The festival wasn't so crowded that security wouldn't notice us if we dropped into a secluded area and walked into a crowded.
After a quick discussion we decided to hop the fence on the east side and explore to find a more viable route since there seemed to be a lack of security to the south west of the festival.
We climbed over the fence and walked through the snow, taking a detour around a fenced vacant lot until we got close to the festival again, noise wasn't an issue since music was blasting out of Igloofest. Once we got around we were basically walking on flat, towards more fencing, we noticed a security guard in the distance with his back to us behind the western fence we saw earlier during the recon, but we weren't worried since there was no light behind us to silhouette us. We moved to another fence where we would be able to see the back of the festival, we decided to approach from the back and see if we could choose a route that was secluded enough to hop the fence but also unattended. We hopped the fence of the vacant lot slowly (spikes) and made our way to the back fence of the festival. We crouch walked behind piles of snow and looked over for maybe 15 minutes trying to figure out our next move. We were at the back where all the trailers were, the DJs, staff and really light security were hanging out there, unfortunately we didn't want to go backstage we wanted to go the crowd at the dance floor and there of course was a wall of orange vests between the back stage and the public areas. Although we would've been able to get over the fence and get into the back stage area we had no way to get into the public zone undetected. After more observation and contemplation regarding the consequences of rushing and hiding in the crowd we decided to head home and figure out something else to do with the night (which turned out to be a fun idea). We snuck back to the gate hopped it, walked to the fence hopped that in front of a bunch of people (hey, we were leaving anyway) and took off on our bikes.
Lessons learned:
Don't underestimate security setup at public events
Sneaking is fun even when you fail
We need to develop a fast quiet method of getting over spiked fences

Functional Bike and a lot of Snacks

Friday I took the time to go and get a new axle and fix up the bike with Dreads. I'm glad I have a bike that works, it's really practical, my chain seems to slip every time I pedal too hard but I don't mind it too much. I rode around a bit and it's smooth sailing. I need to steal a new crate for the back because the one I have it falling apart, it's really big but it's pretty flimsy, but I have a plan for getting a new crate.
Tonight my initial plan was to go to Igloofest with Kusa and Kunoichi's crew but we changed our minds so I went home to hang with Kusa, we ended up going just us too and tried to sneak in...
Later that night we dumpstered a bunch of food and got some other goodies too:
5 Cans of Vegetable Soup
9 Bags of Various Snacks (also dropped on off at Kunoichi's place)
1 Bag of Sugar
1 Bag of Peanuts
1 L4dy St!ck Deodorant
7 Bars and 3 Bags of L!ndt Chocolate
1 Bottle of Royal Jelly
1 Jar of Peanut Butter
1 Box of Th3rmaCare Heat Patches

Afterward we started watching a movie and snacking but Kouka Mono came by and we had a good time hanging with him.

Food, clothes and cops

Went diving with Kusa tonight. We went around to the fruit place, which was of course very fruitful. Later we went to check the pharmacy which was very empty except for some stuff I dived but apart from edible food, it was pretty empty. We had to get some bread so we did that quietly and found a bag full of bread and flour, we took what we needed. Afterward we checked a new supermarket to see if they were worth going to, didn't find much. The pharmacy was most fruitful along with the fruit place and we dropped some food at Kunoichi's place. We tried to get some pizza but first a guy went into the alley and we waited around and afterward we went in but left upon seeing no black bags (the ones that contain pizza) and hearing the door of the pizzeria opening. As we were walking back home, we saw a pile of clothes and started digging until we found the brown jacket, while we dug around a cop car stopped to see what were up to but when we told him we wouldn't leave a mess he rolled off, glad it's lax here, I hear in the UK trash is the owner's property until the trash guys (no not us) pick it up...
In the end we brought back:
4 Small Baguettes
1 Apple
1 Pack of Basil
3 Heads of Broccoli
13 Bell Peppers (Various Colors)
2 Bok Choy
1 Salad Heart
1 Bunch of Parsley
2 Containers Tzatziki
2 Containers Onion Dip
2 Containers Bowtie Pasta and Olive Salad
2 Containers Ravioli and Red Beans Salad
1 Brown Polar Fleece Jacket

Found my old knife

Kusa found my old knife today in the cushions, it has no clip so it slips out of your pocket really easily. It's the tiny black pocket knife. Kusa told me I should string is up to my pants when I carry it to avoid losing it in the future. I dumpstered some twine a while ago so I tied that up to the knife. Now it's on a long loop and I can attach it to whatever belt I have on or to a belt loop, not sure how I'll deal with wearing sweats, maybe get the loop around the inside draw string.
Also the knife can double as a rope dart now that it's on a string although I doubt I'll ever use it as such, (way to scary swinging a blade around yourself on a string).
Overall happy to have the small knife back and I'll probably carry it instead of the Olympia, because of the size and look, much less intimidating, if I need a bigger or serrated knife I'll switch back though.

More parkour

Worked on more parkour today. Was supposed to jam with the Frozen Monkey crew but the communications were fuzzy and only me and Kusa ended up going out. We went to the campus nearby and worked on rolling, wall landings (cat, half cat, crane etc...), drops with and without forward momentum. I'm better at the huge wallrun, and I got three times to the top with much less effort, but I did cut my palm open because the cement is rough and my hands were cold. I need to condition my left leg because I feel that my right leg is getting stronger than my left and I'm not happy with that.

Frozen Monkeys

I've created a group called the Frozen Monkeys, it's a small local parkour crew. so far it consists of me, Kusa, Kunoichi, Pines, Guts and V. Guts and Kunoichi are just just starting so we'll guide them through the basics and keep them progressing. I've told other people who have come to me inquiring about parkour about the crew so that they can come learn or train or jam. Our first meet up will be this Saturday if the weather permits, and will be either a jam or a class depending on who shows up.
Frozen Monkeys because once it gets cold we'll just be jumping around in the cold like frozen monkeys.

Theatre Acrobatics and lonely diving boards

Today, (well yesterday at this point) I was in theatre class when the class was split and sent to different rooms to hear people tell individual stories. The room we went to was a small all black theatre room with four rows of seats and an awesome very climbable looking grid of metal rods halfway to the ceiling. I wanted very badly to ascend the ladder and have a good time messing around on the top of the thing, but teachers and students and class were all hindering me, so I'd have to wait for a window of opportunity to explore a bit. As people told their stories for the class I thought about swinging around on the bars and checking out the catwalks.
As we left the room I considered hanging back and waiting for the room to empty itself but that would be too obvious unless I hid during the bustle of the mass movement. We returned to the main auditorium only to have the main professor tell us that we would have a quick five minute break. I grinned to myself, I was all to happy to slip into the hallway and return to the black theatre on my own. I got into the room, happy to be alone and quietly went up the ladder, once at the top I gave myself a quick tour of the catwalk which went along three sides of the room, I tested my weight on the metal bars and they seemed to shake a bit, I was disappointed. I had decided to return to the ladder and head back to the auditorium when I spotted another ladder concealed behind the cage around the first one that led up to a false ceiling, I quickly flew up that one and was happy to see a bunch of graffiti from previous adventurous students, I looked around at the dusty vents and ceiling slats and then marked "Urban Nokizaru" in pencil on an insulated pipe then headed back down to the catwalks.
I decided that I would try the metal grid once more before heading back to class, this time at the opposite end of the room. The grid seemed sturdy at this point but I got down on all fours QMing to distribute my weight "just in case" (also it was scary as shit to walk around on the 3 cm diameter metal pipes that were covered in dust and wiring). I made it my mission to cross the room on the grid and return. It was sketchy and I spent a lot of time slowly testing the strength of the individual bars but I eventually got across and back, then down the ladder. As I returned to class I was just in time to catch the middle and end of this PUA/magician guy's story about how he likes impressing people. The prof and her TAs gave me a weird look but probably thought nothing of it as I sat down and vanished into the mass of late students who sat around me.
I didn't dive tonight, no time, well there was but I didn't capitalize on it at all, instead I worked on a paper (which I have yet to finish, bleh) tried with Kusa to meet and chill with out upstairs neighbors (it didn't work out they thought it'd be a good idea to go to bed before 1 AM, sigh, some people are just weird I guess) and hanging with Ting and Kusa just talking and relaxing. Don't worry dumpsters I'll pay you guys a visit soon, my friends wants to see what you guys are like.

Pizza, dip and folding knives

Not too long ago maybe two three days, I lost my second pocket knife diving, I don't know how I lost the first one. I wasn't happy with my lack of a pocket knife, (I'm not gonna carry around the awesome Swiss Army Knife for everyday stuff), so I went to check out some knives at the surplus stores with Kusa. I ended up getting a folding Olympia, maybe 3ish inches, partially serrated that's openable with one hand. I plan on not loosing this one for as long as possible, so far so good.
I went diving with it of course and I as I was in the pharmacy dumpster (I get inside of it because it's locked and I can't reach too far inside without feeling like I'll crack a rib or two) I hear a car pull up and stop right across the street, I thought it was an undercover cop, but it turns out I'm just paranoid sometimes and that the security cameras still can't see me and no one cares about dumpsters being raided. I slipped out was cautious and quickly left afterward anyway and made my way to the pizza place. I got home with the following:
1 Container of Hummus
1 Container of Onion Dip
1 Container of Tzatziki
1 Plastic Shopping bag Brimming with Pizza (had to Tetris the freezer to fit it in).

Just dancin and jumpin and dancin and jumpin...

Yesterday was the last day my friend from home was going to be here so we went out clubbing, a his dad had a friend who had a daughter who goes to school with me so I had met her the day before and she ended up coming out with us. She's fun to go clubbing with, she's a good dancer and pro at photo bombing. Later we all chilled here with Ting and Kusa and the neighbors, dived a bit of pastries. We cuddled it up until I had to get my friend to the train station to the airport. Afterward I went back to bed til at least four. Later the girl left also and I ate some food.
Me and Kusa went to the nearby campus to train parkour. It was a great time. We worked on vaulting, rolling, a little bit of fluidity but mostly on wallruns, I progressed to the top of a wall we found that had some gradual slants so you could work up to heights, really happy about that. We met a guy there who was telling us about how he used to train and a place with open gym and different traceurs. I haven't pushed myself in a bit and neither has Kusa we felt the training more than we would have liked to. We went home after that, now we're resting up and gonna go to a party in half an hour-ish, great weekend so far.

Roof and Food ninjas

Alright so yo, parkour teaching today at the nearby campus. I wanted to do some parkour and lately I've been realizing that I enjoy teaching it as much as I enjoy training or conditioning or just doing parkour, not that I'm a master teaching but I feel a learn a lot about my own style and the finer details behind techniques when I explain them and do them over and over slowly and quickly.
I was teaching Kunoichi, we started with rolling, we had to get over the different hand placement of the parkour roll as opposed to the ninjutsu roll that was in her muscle memory from before. After that we worked on the reverse vault, it's strange, she does it better than the two handed vault. Cipher does the same thing, his "natural vault" is the reverse vault as he puts it. We did a bit of jumping work, playing around with height and distance. The last thing we worked on and by far the toughest for Kunoichi was the wallrun and the climb up/pop vault. We went into a building drank some water and then started heading home.
I decided to check out the gymnasium building from when me, Pines and Kusa did the "roof marathon" at the end of last spring. Well, the route is still there but the fence that was once horizontal and easy to bypass is now vertical and slightly less easy to slip under. We went up all the ladders and appreciated the skyline while keeping an eye on the janitors in the windows (making sure they keep their eyes off us). I tried going down another ladder, to a fire escape and then to ground level instead going down about five ladders but there was a ladder cover and I wasn't sure if Kunoichi would deal with is well yet, I went back up and we took the easy way down. Went back to Kunoichi's a bit, drank tea hung with her roomies etc...
Got home made some soup for dinner, Kusa asked me if I planned on diving, lol, of course. I go to the fruit place with him, the results:
1 box of baby spinach
1 box of baby arugula
2 heads of broccoli
2 limes
16 boxes of raspberries
1 box of black berries (I took all 17 boxes and made jam so it'd last longer)
4 green bell peppers
2 red bell peppers
We dropped those at the apartment and Kusa hit the hay. I went out again, to the compactor and the pharmacy dumpster I brought back:
1 box of Halloween chocolate
1 tube of Colg4te
1 red bead bracelet
1 three set of head/hair bands
2 jars of onion chip dip
1 jar of peanuts
1 can of almonds
2 energy efficient light bulbs
2 40 watt light bulbs
1 can of Pr1ngles chips
1 stack of CD-Rs
1 box of cough/cold throat strips
2 tubes of chap stick
1 tube of facial scrub
1 pair of blue headphones
1 roll of twine
1 can of tomato sauce
2 cans of microwaveable stew
2 AAA batteries
2 packs dill pickle sunflower seeds
4 packs seasoned sunflower seeds

Kung Fu Feast

Before yesterday night I dived a huge bag of everything bready or sugary next to a Timmy Ho's, before that I found maybe 8 cartons of peach nectar along with some 4 basketlets of raspberries and some other fruit. Remember I still have a ton of chocolates and jalepeno chips. Kusa and Ting are gone for the weekend, what will make a large amount of this food vanish?
You wanna watch some Jackie Chan movies? You shoulda came over, we watch a bunch bagels and cookies and chips and sipped on thick nectar in front of Rush Hour and Drunken Master. Kinda very awesome Saturday. Some of the ninja crew from the neighborhood were there Kunoichi was there with all but one of her roomies (there's 5 plus her total) and her friend from outta town (who's down with ninjas and dived food), Dreads was there with his roomie and I got V to stop in after his work. Was a jolly good time, cuddle, eat, watch kung fu, repeat, don't rinse though I want to keep this flavor in my mouth.
Wanna get rid of a large amount of dumpster food? Wanna see all your friends turn into cuddle food zombies? Wanna enjoy some awesome movies? Get your friends, get your computer, dive a ton of food (it's not that hard really) and set that shit up totally worth hour's worth of effort required.

Tramps and Swords

I've taken an interest in tramps and hobos recently. I will probably try to go tramping a bit after school or at some point. It's travel and freedom and... well that's it. Revisiting Evasion (which you should read) as well as reading different train hopping writings, punk zines and that sort of thing. On the more hands on side, I've gotten pretty hardcore into dumpster diving. Last night I brought home lots of strawberries, corn, radish, carrots and a watermelon. I'm getting more used to going out and diving even without Kusa. Ting is accepting it more, because when you see "nasty garbage" turn into delicious food it's hard to say no.
On the martial side I've been working on kenjutsu behind the apartment on and off with the bokken. Doing exercise on and off, mostly when I watch shows online.

Bonus point: I found a way onto the roof of my main school building :)

First Dive

Back in my computer hacker days I used to get my mom to drop me off on the other side of the bridge near J&R and I would pick up computer parts from the trash. That was in middle school.
Tonight me and Kusa went dumpster diving for fruits and vegetables. I found a dumpster map of the city I'm in, and there was a fruitery dumpster a few blocks away from our apartment so we crashed it around midnight. I'll write it up as a night op:
Gear:
Me-
Black Hoodie
Tan Cargo Pants
Brown Boots
Flash light
pocket knife
Lighter
Kusa-
Jeans
Dark Blue Long Sleeve
Brown Sneakers

We walked the few blocks down a fairly busy street to where our supermarket is so we could check around there before we hit the fruit dumpster. The super market dumpster said cardboard only (and unlike in Evasion it only had cardboard) and another one was locked up. Super market dumpsters are for another time then, but now I have a great reason to learn to pick locks like I always wanted to.
The next alley was the fruit dumpster alley and boy did it have a fruit dumpster. I was happy to see that the dumpster was unlocked open, and full. The first thing we found was a box of fruit which we haven't IDed, they're purple, oval shaped, with little brownish nubs, there's purple pulpy stuff inside that seems edible. Kunoichi knows what they are but I don't really remember what she said about them, I'll ask her some time. After that I climbed into the dumpster and dug around I found so much food we didn't carry it all back. The dumpster even provided us with a means to carry the food back (so many boxes and trays). In the end we walked off with:
A watermelon (we left two in the dumpster)
Two Bags of green grapes (after removing the bad ones we had about a bag and a half)
Some broccoli
Maybe seven of the purple things
A single plum
A bag of lettuce or salad or some type of edible leaves...
Overall a good experience I will be sure to repeat. I was surprised at how much there was. There was a bow full of eggplants in the dumpster that was barely open, it's too bad Kusa, Ting and I don't really like eggplant or we'd be in heaven.

Back up North

I'm back in Canada for school, though I have some time before it starts. I'm in an apartment with Kusa and another friend (guy does boxing and Muay Thai, I'll call him Ting). No definite plans for any ninja stuff yet but I'll get to it soon. I wanna get in touch with Pines and V to start some parkour before everything gets covered in ice. Looking forward to a good year.
