Warm weather and like all that that entails....

Weather has been like, how can I put this, as fuckin rad as it can be for winter without actually being spring. I like the warmth, I don't mind the stripe of slush I get on my back and on the bottom of my shorts when I ride around I can go outside without a hat and my ears feel juuuuuust fine. :D
What have I been doing in this wonderful weather you may wonder, hmmm. Here's a quick list:
Ummm an awesome bonfire in an abandoned lot with Igs and Divo and some other folk, music and dumpstered wine and well fire! No cops even came to be mean.
A Harry Potter themed party where there was free (delicious) butter beer, straight from the leaky cauldron. As usual (well not really but still) Mount Olympus set the dance floor on fire and stirred everyone up into a mad dancing rage, ok maybe I'm exaggerating but still, twas an alright time.
Biked around and got slush on my clothes, but smiled at the sun and strangers and got complimented. Also started riding with no hands a lot.
Hung with Spaghetti and we doubled around and hung at Laurier house where I chilled with some fun peoples. She burned her foot some doubling via bicycle is not only fun it's totally justifiable.
Other than that spent way too much time reading this awesome blog, http://www.clickclackgorilla.com
I started from the end and am trying to catch up with the beginning and then I'll subscribe.
Oooh, also, dumpstered a 1/3rd full enormous jug of oil. The only things I worry about (and occasionally buy) in terms of what I eat are oil and spices and one is easy to walk ouf of a store with than another, but that problem is solved for a pretty long time now.
Tomorrow's plan? Well Hang out with CHG a bit then dumpster a bit then consent workshop.
Also national security, umm really, it's kinda a joke, a lot of assumptions I made about government and the ridiculous things they do have been confirmed at the conference "Whose Security? Our Security!", but it twas kinda boring...

Summer heat

It's been a while since I last posted on here, a lot has happened since my last post.
First off Ithaca is back in BK which is cool, we're finally spending time just us two which is turning out pretty good: interesting and deep conversations, nice hang outs, good sex. I'm not sure what we're doing right but it's enjoyable. We talked about all kinds of things and turns out the night she left she was feeling mad because of a phone conversation we had but we straightened that out. Things are going good at this point although I feel some distance at times but that's always been there. I realized that I don't fall into my expectations in terms of jealousy, I learned that Sara slept with an ex while I was in NY and she was still at home and I was totally okay with it, completely calm and unperturbed, I always heard such terrible things about jealousy but I guess like so many other things I feel differently about it than most people do...
Since is a girl I've know for a very long time since my childhood in fact hence the name. I've had a crush on her forever, and her brothers are pretty alright I hang with them on and off. We talk online occasionally and I always felt that she was bored with her life and very interested in the "adventures" that took place in mine, I kept telling her to go out and live dangerously, to make her own fun etc, but to no avail. When I got to BK I told her and we agreed to hang out, hanging out of course took forever to come by and kept skipping ahead when I felt I was close to it. But we finally got to hang out and it was good. I told Ithaca about it but she wasn't too warm to the idea (I'll get to this later). At Since's place I hung with her and her family, making and eating dinner and watching a Miyazaki movie (Ponyo) which was actually pretty awesome and super cute. I forgot how it came up but we ended up talking about the roof and I of course suggested we go up. We hung with her family more, after bugging her a bit and various family members branching away to do their own thing we went up to the roof.
The roof was great, a nice view, a decent temperature, lots of open space, I need to climb roofs more again. We went to the top of a structure on the roof and just as we sat down it began to rain lightly, clearly nature has a great sense of romantic timing, I mean what better way to enjoy a first kiss with a long time crush than on a roof immediately after it begins raining? We danced and kissed and ran around and got soaked and finally went back inside. I hung there a bit more then headed home. (Yes I did tell Since I was seeing someone else, being a douche isn't something I wanna strive for).
Back at home Ithaca was already home and in bed, her day with her pal turned out to be shitty, we talked about that and we decided to make some agreements about our poly habits; she wants to know about what I may/plan on doing with other people and she also wants to say what she feels about it and give her take, etc, I guess I didn't realize it but each time I went off to see other peeps I would tell her but never ask how she felt about it, if she was okay with it, etc. so we agreed on doing that which I feel totally makes sense. This is also when I found out she slept with an ex while I was here.
Some cool things we've done recently are: picnic in the park, long and interesting discussions, making jam, dumpstering to say a few.
Today was my aunt Robbie's funeral, Ithaca came to Philadelphia with the family and met the family on my father's side which she found interesting.
I wanted to go to Punk Island 2010 (look it up) upon returning, but after calling Crisis to find out about it we were both disappointed to discover that I had ended at 5PM :-/, whatever, I plan on hitting the beach tomorrow so it's all good.
Also it's supa dupa hot out.

The Bonfire

I like hot weather.
Saturday was the first day of spring.
A while back I was talking to someone and I told them I'd make a fire on the first day of spring, that's just what I did. I even told people to come and enjoy it with me around 8ish.
V and Australia showed up first, I was dead tired when they arrived. Australia was supposed to bring wood but didn't, which made the night more fun in the long term. We napped for literally like 5 minutes then went outside and started the fire with cardboard and paper until I could add big wood that I had left over from the thanks giving fire. we sat around a bit, V went to go grab some marshmallows at a store and I dumpstered wood from across the street (through out the night I would dumpster wood to keep the fire up usually with Dreads). People started to trickle in as time went by, you have to walk down an alleyway to get to where the fire pit is so I left a note on the door (the alleyway is also where the back door to a club and a restaurant are). Everyone was here: Guts, Dread and his girlfriend and their Belgian friend, V, Australia and a friend of hers, Kunoichi and her whole house (four other girls), TKJ and three pals of his from outta town, Ice Cream, and a girl from the neighborhood that I don't hang out with too much.
We all hung around and I brought out the snacks: mini cookies, some pastries, a bag pretzels, candy canes and of course a bucket of frosting to top off whatever you're eating.
Everyone brought some awesomeness to the the fire that night. Some of the more visible awesome took place as follows;
Kunoichi fire span with her hula hoop to acoustic music from one of her roomies on the guitar, it was impressive.
Dreads juggled flaming pins despite being a bit tipsy, his ending was awesome, he vanished into the dark by swinging the flames out.
Three people brought guitars and those rotated between Kunoichi's house, TKJ's crew, Guts and Dreads and his girlfriend, needless to say vocals were switched off and combined through out as well.
V tap danced on some dumpstered wood but I missed it because I was showing someone where the bathroom was, but I heard it was good.
We all hung around the fire talking, Ice Cream tried to gain back some of the time I slept on her shoulder by doing the same time me, but I moved a lot, while talking and gesturing and tending to the fire :-/ At around midnight I get a text asking for the address but it was sent at around 10 so I feel bad and answer without knowing who it is, a bit later my neighbor arrives with a friend and they chill with us.
The night moseyed on and some people peeled off and some people got drunker from passing around tallboys and 40s. Two of TKJ's friends, the two girls were pretty drunk and they started drumming on the back door of a club next door to see if they could get in, we were all still around the fire when we see a bouncer stick his head out the door after they bang hard for a bit and he tells them something then slams the door. They tell us they wanna go clubbing and run out the alley to who knows where.
We keep the fire going, chilling and talking and laughing and making music, when the two girls come back, I thought they danced in the club so I give them high fives for being drunk and awesome and not caring. Turns out coat check is $5 and cover is another $5 so they dropped off their coats and headed off, I wanted to go with as did TKJ and the third friend, I made sure people were watching the fire (Australia and Ice Cream). We walked around the block to a club, and watched as the bouncer turned TKJ's friends down despite their lack of coats. "we're too poor and ugly to get in",
Nah, "fuck that club!"
"yea fuck it!"
We all went back to the fire in a good mood. Wood had just run out when my neighbor Kouka-mono came out and chilled for a bit, he had a dead chair made of wood that he brought out to burn. Ice Cream was tired and wanted to crash the living room, but there weren't any covers so I told her take the bed I'll be up later and stayed out a bit longer with Kouka-mono because people were trickling out slowly until it was just us. Tired from a ridiculous week and an awesome night I decided it was time to bounce and hit the hay. Kouka-mono brought a bucket of water and poured the flames out. A huge cloud of steam appeared and we left quickly so we wouldn't be around if it caught people's attention.
Inside I felt the excitement of the night fade but it didn't disappear altogether. I undressed, got into pajamas and joined Ice Cream in bed. She was freezing so we unzipped the sleeping bag and used it as a second blanket, then lay down and talked and cuddled. I really felt like kissing Ice Cream at one point but she beat me to it; as I was about to turn her head turned around and planted one on my lips! I was really happy with that and we kissed and cuddled until we fell asleep...

Operation: Pitt's Parkour

Crisis as you may know ops with me a lot, he also happens to be a lifeguard at a pool with an awesome parkour spot right behind it part of the park it's in. Unfortunately the park closes at 9ish and when I am there the park workers are also there to dissuade me from training a bit because the parkour spot is fenced off. I happened to be around there with Crisis and some other friends, we were all going home and I suggested to him that we sneak in and train a bit. Here's what happened.

Gear:
Me-
Red sleeveless shirt
Camo cargo shorts
Nike Sneakerboats (awesome shoe btw)
Woodland bandanna over mouth/nose.
Crisis-Black wolverine shirt (turned inside out so security wouldn't recognize him)
Navy BDU pants
Grey Sneakers
Digital camo bandanna on top of head

We walked through some projects and hopped some rails/fences to get to the park/pool faster. Crisis had a new haircut so he put his bandanna over his head to make it recognizable. We got to the outer fence and climbed over it quickly, we stood in a bunch of under growth underneath a tree, the air was so humid my body felt heavier. We looked through the inner fence and so no activity and I began my ascent, at the top of the fence I quickly looked around and then slid down (vertical spikes with a cross bar at the top), upon landing I moved into some bushes and waited as Crisis followed suit. Once there I decided on a quick route to the parkour spot. We moved to a handball wall and were covered in shadow, we crouch ran to a red shed and then hopped a low wall onto a staircase leading to the parkour spot behind the pool.
Once on the stairs a lot of QMing and pausing ensued as we crossed the entire parkour spot. We took a few listening breaks and looked around, after we were sure no one was there we moved along back and forth doing some parkour training on the obstacles, in between moves we got behind something for cover. After some training we took a water break, sneaking down to the pool deck and taking some water from a water fountain. After that more parkour training and then we exfiltrated by the same route as our infiltration. A good time and fun training, especially because of the pressure.
Lessons learned:
Doing parkour with a bandanna on your face makes you run out of breath quickly.
Pools/parks lack security.
The pool on Pitt St has a cool parkour spot right behind it.

White Water Rafting

About two days ago I went white water rafting with a group of people I didn't know plus Crisis and a non-ninja friend. Was a ton of fun, not the most ninja thing ever but I learned some anyway. I feel more comfortable in small boats in terms of steering and general maneuvering even when the water is shallow and rocky.
I learned how to deal with falling into rapids, here's how it's done: as soon as you fall in get on your back and float down feet first with the legs slightly bend to absorb any shock from rocks. Also it's important to be aware of currents, deeper water supposedly has strong current in rivers.
Overall a great time and a bit of a learning experience on the side.
